10 Modern Unity Candles
When my husband and I got married, we opted to pour two different colors of sand into one large vase as a way of saying that our two lives were now becoming one. It was a new idea eight years ago and we loved it. Half way through the ceremony, however, as we were pouring out our sand, we realized that maybe we should have run-through this before hand. My sand was not pouring; it had some how clumped together while my husband's flowed freely. Suddenly, my yellow sand plopped out of my vase and into the joint one with a little thud. Instead of mixing all together, the unity vase ended up looking like a sandwich of yellow and white.
