a tennessee trip
Last week, my hubs and I flew to Tennessee for a blend of work and fun. I attended a conference on orphan care for my day job while my husband worked on his 21-page Greek exegetical. Even though our heads were foggy and our eyes bleary from an intense week, we ventured into the great city of Nashville.
It was alive and bustling with the Kentucky Derby, a big boxing match (who watches boxing anymore??) and numerous bachelorette parties. We soaked in the energy of the city by savoring vanilla and peanut butter cup ice cream cones, discussing our future and acquiring one too many blisters from walking way too far.
But, Nashville, you are beautiful and eclectic and modern and traditional. Thank you for a great weekend!
On a side note - I have been really horrible about keeping up with my spring bucket list. I really should have known better than to plan (expensive) outings in a season of serious transition. I'll post about that transition later, but the bucket list may just not happen this spring. And you know what? That is ok.
