life lately....
Feeling: Peaceful, even though there have been a few things in my life that have been far from peaceful. My husband has been coming out of a rough season and we experienced a family tragedy this month. I also feel a lot of unrest in a few other situations. But, through prayer, I have felt such intense peace over the last week. Trusting that even in the storm and the seas, he is still God and he can be trusted.
Thinking: Strategy. I come alive when it's time to talk future vision, mission statements and identity. Today, I sat down and wrote out mission statements for my social media accounts, blog, shop and newsletter, as well as created a content marketing strategy funnel that (once lovely lettered) will sit front and center of my binder that I check every day.
Loving: HIIT workouts. Especially this one. I don't like working out. I just don't. I've tried running, jumping on a trampoline, lifting weights, anything to keep me in shape. And, because I have a flexible schedule, I used to force myself to work out for at least an hour. Finally, I'm letting myself be okay with not enjoying an extensive fitness routine, which makes these 10 minute workouts perfect for me. They're fast but still effective. I'm sore after a few weeks but definitely starting to see my arms and legs tone. Excited to keep it up and crazy enough - actually looking forward to it.
Trying: to find affordable, casual dresses. One of my spring bucket list items is to wear more dresses. But with a tight budget and living in a town that's all about jeans and flip flops, I'm having a hard time finding anything that will work for me. Maybe maxi dresses all summer long?
Praying: for lots of specifics. My husband and I have a big decision coming up that's been years in the making. We're anxious. And for a long time, it caused a lot of our conversations to turn negative and circular. Finally, we're taking action and going straight to God. Every night, we separate for about 15-30 minutes and pray specifically through this big decision. We each have our own numbered list that outlines each specific prayer request. And - the biggest help in this? Rarely talking about it. We reserve time on our weekly date nights to discuss this decision but if we don't have a clear answer yet, we stop. And we'll wait for the Lord to answer it. Not us.
So, what about you? What are you feeling, thinking, loving, trying and praying??
